Transaction Processing Fees

SigmaMD partners with USPay to provide merchant accounts for clinics, and all transaction processing fees are charged directly by USPay.

Credit and Debit Card Transactions

• Fee: 2.4% + $0.15 per transaction

This rate applies to all payments processed using major credit or debit cards.

Monthly Minimum: Card processing fees are subject to a monthly minimum of $35, calculated as 2.40% of total monthly card transaction volume. The monthly minimum is waived for the first 90 days, after which the $35 minimum applies if fees do not exceed that amount.

Credit Card Surcharge

SigmaMD supports a credit card surcharge option that allows your practice to pass processing fees to patients instead of absorbing them.

• Fee: 2.99% of the transaction amount (no per-transaction fee)
• Applies to credit cards only, debit cards are exempt per federal and card network rules
• Not available in Colorado, Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, or Oklahoma

When enabled, surcharge appears as a separate line item on their invoice.

ACH (Bank Transfer) Transactions

• Fee: $0.15 per transaction
