Getting Started with the Command Center

The Command Center is your shortcut to speed and flexibility in SigmaMD. It allows you to instantly find patients, navigate to key records, and perform common actions without leaving your current screen.

How to Open the Command Center

To trigger the Command Center, press ⌘ + K (Mac) or Ctrl + K (Windows). You can also click the Command icon at the bottom left of your screen. The search bar will appear, ready for input.

What You Can Search

Start typing to search by the patient's name, email, phone, or date of birth.

As you type, results will update live. Use your keyboard up and down arrow keys to navigate through the list. Hit Enter/Return to select the patient.

Navigation Options

Once you select a patient, a side menu will appear, offering quick access to:

• Go to Chart
• Go to Payments
• Go to Files
• Patient's chats
• Tasks linked to this patient
• Patient's appointments
• Patient's invoices

Clicking any of these options will take you directly to that section in the patient’s chart or history.

You can also use your keyboard up and down arrow keys to navigate through the list. Hit Enter/Return to select the action.

Quick Actions

You’ll also find contextual quick actions. From anywhere in the system you can promptly:

• Create a task
• Create an event on the calendar

If you have a patient selected on the search, you can:

• Create a task
• Create an appointment
• Order lab tests
• Order imaging tests
• Prescribe a medication
• Create a referral
• Start a televisit

These are available directly from the command center, helping you complete actions without needing to fully navigate the platform.
