Identity Proofing (IDP) Best Practices for ePrescribing Setup
Identity Proofing (IDP) is a required verification step to confirm a clinician’s identity before enabling ePrescribing. It involves uploading a photo of a government-issued ID and taking a real-time selfie.
To ensure a successful IDP process, follow these best practices:
1. Prepare a Valid Government-Issued ID
- Have your driver's license or passport ready before beginning the verification.
2. Use a Well-Lit Environment
- Take both your selfie and photo of your ID in a brightly lit area.
- Natural daylight is recommended.
- Avoid shadows, glares, and poor lighting.
3. Capture Clear Photos
- Make sure the entire ID is visible, in focus, and not blurry or cropped.
- The selfie should clearly show your face, matching the ID image.
4. Additional Verification Steps
- In addition to submitting your ID and selfie, you will be asked to answer security questions based on your personal history.
5. Retry Policy
- If your IDP attempt fails, you will have two additional attempts.
If all attempts fail, please contact your customer success manager for further assistance.
