How to Import Past Lab Results from Quest Diagnostics into SigmaMD

If you need to bring historical lab results from Quest Diagnostics into SigmaMD, you can do so directly through your Quest Quanum portal. Once linked to your practice, these results will be automatically imported into your SigmaMD Lab Inbox.

Step 1: Locate and Move Historical Lab Results in Quest Quanum

  1. Log in to Quest Quanum.
  2. From the Home screen, select Results from the sidebar.
  3. Click External Historical Results.
  4. Enter the patient’s name and date of birth.
  5. Select the patient from the search results.
  6. Check the box next to the lab results you want to import.
  7. Click Save to Patient.

Once saved, the selected lab results will be linked to your practice and automatically downloaded into SigmaMD within a few minutes. You’ll receive a notification in SigmaMD when new results are available for review.

Step 2: Assign the Lab Result to a Patient in SigmaMD

Imported lab results will appear as unmatched if they can't be automatically linked to a patient record.

Once matched, the lab result will appear in the patient’s chart.
