Importing Historical Results for Quest & LabCorp

If your practice has recently set up a lab integration with SigmaMD, you may want to import historical lab results for continuity of care. Follow the steps below for Quest Diagnostics and LabCorp.

Quest Diagnostics

To bring historical lab results into SigmaMD, you can retrieve them directly through your Quest Quanum portal.

Steps to Locate and Move Historical Results:

  1. Log in to Quest Quanum.
  2. From the Home screen, select Results from the sidebar.
  3. Click External Historical Results.
  4. Enter the patient’s name and date of birth.
  5. Select the patient from the search results.
  6. Check the box next to the lab results you want to import.
  7. Click Save to Patient.

Once saved, the results will be linked to your practice and automatically downloaded into SigmaMD within a few minutes. You’ll receive a notification when they’re ready for review.

LabCorp

If your interface is not yet live:

  • Ask your LabCorp Sales Representative to include older results as part of your new integration project. Be sure to request that historical results be dropped into the interface so they import automatically once your connection goes live.

If your interface is already live:

  • Reach out to your LabCorp Sales Representative and request that a project be created specifically for importing historical results. LabCorp will coordinate internally to make the results available in SigmaMD.

Assigning Imported Results to Patients

Imported lab results may appear as unmatched if they can’t be automatically linked to a patient record.
