Getting Started with SigmaMD
Start by creating your free trial account and follow the steps below to explore the patient experience and begin setting up your SigmaMD account.
Adding Yourself as the First Patient
To experience the patient-side functionality firsthand, log in and add yourself as a patient. You may use the same email and mobile number as your clinician login credentials. This enables you to receive a code to register for the SigmaMD patient mobile app.
Complete Your Setup
Next, complete all steps in your Personal Settings and Practice Settings.
Activate Payments and Interfaces
To fully activate SigmaMD, please complete the merchant account intake form. After submission of the merchant account form, a SigmaMD team member will guide you through setting up:
- Payment processing
- ePrescribing (eRx)
- Lab and imaging integrations
- eFax configuration
Telephony Setup
If your practice also needs a telephone number for voice calls, we recommend starting with the base tier from RingRx — this works well alongside SigmaMD’s built-in chat, telehealth, and fax tools.
Important Notes:
- The RingRx base plan is sufficient for most practice needs.
- Use RingRx only for telephony (voice calls). Do not use RingRx for faxing, telehealth, or patient messaging — these features are already fully integrated into SigmaMD.
- Do not port out your SigmaMD fax number to RingRx. Doing so will disrupt your integrated fax workflow.
These steps ensure your practice is ready to operate with full functionality.
