Managing Notification Settings

SigmaMD allows each team member to tailor how they receive notifications—via in-app alerts, email, SMS, or push—based on their role and preferences. Admins can also manage these settings for the entire team.

Accessing Notification Settings

To view and edit notification settings:

  1. Go to Practice Settings.
  2. Select the Team tab.
  3. Click View Details on any team member. The Notifications will be open on the right of the person's details.

 

For each notification (row), choose the delivery methods (push, SMS, and email) you want to receive. If you are an admin user, you can change other members' settings as well.

Be aware that some notifications are targeted at admin users and will show up to them only. Also, messaging notifications require at least one method to be on.

Routing Notifications

For each notification type, you’ll see a Route To field.

This lets you select additional users who should also receive the notification. You can choose more than one person, and each will receive the notification based on their own preferences.

For example, if Jane routes her notifications to Sam and Kelly, each of them will receive notifications using their own SMS/email/push settings, not Jane’s.

Note: You can't route a notification to the original recipient or to users whose accounts are inactive

Saving Changes

Changes will only be applied once you click Save. If you try to leave the screen without saving, a confirmation modal will appear to prevent accidental loss of edits.

 

Fine-tuning notification settings ensures your team stays aligned and informed, without unnecessary interruptions.
