How to Block Days on a Calendar

In SigmaMD, you can put blockers on your calendar. With the correct flag, these blockers will effectively block your calendar at the self-scheduling system that patients use, making it impossible for them to schedule appointments during the designated period.

To do this, begin by accessing the Calendar area. At the top-right corner of the screen, click on the + New button.

Now, select the Block option and mark the Block Calendar toggle on. This is mandatory in order to have your schedule blocked from patient self-scheduling.

Once done with the previous steps, fill in the Title field and make sure that the date and time are correct. This will enable the Create button. Click on it to finalize.

Additionally, if you want this block to affect more practice members, you can select them in the Practice Participants field.

You will be able to confirm in your calendar view that the blocker was created.

External Calendars

Sigma offers the option of connecting with external calendars: Google Calendar and Microsoft Calendar.

If your account is connected to one or both of these calendars, events registered in them can also block the Sigma calendar, as long as they have the Busy flag enabled.
