Release Notes - September 15, 2025
Contacts Directory
The new Contacts Directory helps you keep all external contacts—like specialists, diagnostic centers, pharmacies, and vendors—in one organized place.
You can:
- Add names, phone numbers, emails, and other relevant details.
- Classify contacts by type for quick filtering.
- Open a contact’s details directly when referencing them during patient care.
- Patients and employers can have a list of preferred contacts.
This makes referrals, follow-ups, and external coordination faster and more reliable.
New Patient Login
We've dropped the requirement to have a valid mobile number on patient charts. Now, only emails will be needed when creating a patient or when the patient enrolls online.
As a consequence, patients no longer need a mobile number to log into the SigmaMD Patient App. Logins are now based on email, diminishing the risk of missed SMS codes and making access simpler and more reliable.
New Draft Note Deletion Rules
We’ve updated the rules around deleting draft clinical notes to ensure clarity and safety in collaborative workflows.
- Creators can always delete their own drafts.
- New: Ordering clinicians can delete drafts created by non-ordering roles.
Fax Inbox Filters
Filters in the Fax Inbox are now saved automatically, even after leaving the screen. This improvement makes it easier to stay organized across sessions.
This functionality is coming soon to Chat filters as well.
Other Improvements
- Variables: Expanded list of available variables. See the full list here.
- Notes: Drafts now stay in the same tab while auto-saving, and attaching a file no longer forces a tab switch.
- Usability refinements across multiple workflows.
- Patient Data: Caregiver phone numbers are now displayed in the messaging inbox.
- Background fixes and performance improvements.
