Using Scribe on the Clinical Mobile App
Scribe helps you capture clinical encounters with ease by recording ambient audio in the room, just as with the existing desktop solution.
It does not record phone calls. With the mobile app, you get a dedicated device you can carry between rooms, record conversations, add references, and generate structured notes, saving time and keeping documentation accurate.
Start a Scribe Session
- Open the patient profile.
- Tap the + (plus) button at the bottom right.
- Select Start Scribe and choose a note template to guide your documentation.

During Recording
- Tap Add Reference Note to include important details or reminders.
- Tap Pause to stop recording temporarily. While paused, you can either Discard or Generate Note.
- If needed, you can resume recording before generating the note.

Generating a Note
When finished:
- Tap the Pause button to enable the option to generate.
- Select Generate Note and confirm to stop recording.
- A toast notification will appear when your note is ready. Tap the notification to review it.

Draft Notes
All generated notes start as drafts and are available in the patient’s chart. Open the Notes section of the chart, and at the top switch between signed and draft notes. From here you can:
- Edit details, content, and attachments.
- Restrict patient access if needed.
- Sign or delete the note once complete.
- Resume or discard recordings that you have stopped.
