Understanding Membership Auto-Pay in SigmaMD
The auto-pay feature for memberships streamlines the billing process by automatically processing payments for enrolled patients. It is available for card and ACH payments, while for cash and check payment methods, it is always disabled.
How Does Auto-Pay Work?
For Clinician-Managed Enrollment: When you manually enroll a patient in a membership, the auto-pay feature is turned on by default. This ensures that the patient’s payments will be automatically processed based on the selected billing cycle. You can turn it off before enrolling if needed.
For Patient Self-Enrollment: When a patient enrolls through an enrollment link, auto-pay is automatically enabled for card and ACH. The patient does not have the option to turn off this setting during self-enrollment.
Managing Auto-Pay
At any time, you can visit the patient’s chart and manage the membership settings. This includes toggling the auto-pay feature on or off, allowing flexibility in payment management.
