Release Notes - November 05, 2025

We’re excited to share this week’s SigmaMD update! This release focuses on new billing flexibility, improved chat management, and refinements across membership workflows.

Persistent Chat Filters

Filters set on your inbox or home screen chat lists are now saved automatically. Your preferences — such as “only assigned to me,” “urgent,” or custom tag combinations — remain active even when you navigate away from the screen.

Bill in Arrears for Memberships

You can now configure both retail and employer memberships to bill after the service period rather than upfront.

This option offers more flexibility for practices that prefer post-service billing or need to align charges with payroll or payment processing schedules.

Retail Membership Draft Invoices

Retail memberships now create a draft invoice at the start of each billing cycle, allowing you to review, edit, and add any additional charges before they are automatically issued.

This follows the same structure as employer memberships.

Note: This change applies to upcoming cycles and if you update memberships currently mid-cycle (e.g., add a discount). It does not retroactively create drafts for all current active memberships.

Flexible Membership Start Dates and Proration

You can now customize how new memberships begin:

  • Choose a specific renewal date (e.g., the 1st or 15th of each month).
  • Require or not all patients to start on that date when self-enrolling.
  • Optionally prorate the first cycle for partial periods.

Perfect for practices standardizing billing cycles or managing predictable renewals.

Other Improvements

  • Diagnostic Providers: You can now edit connections for labs and imaging providers. Editable fields vary based on connection type and status.
  • Medication Returns: Improved workflows for returning dispensed medications — inventory, prescription, and billing are now synced automatically for better tracking and accuracy.
