Troubleshooting the Fax Delivery
If you, or a provider of yours, is experiencing troubles getting your faxes through to your clinic, or provider, there are a few steps that can be taken to troubleshoot the problem.
1. Verify your contact information
The first step is a simple verification of the contact information of your provider you are attempting to send the fax to.
If you're using a contact registered in your contact list, please open it and verify if all the data is correct.
If you're typing the fax number directly when sending the fax, please verify if the entered data is correct and if the fax number you're entering doesn't conflict with the fax number in an existing registered contact.
2. Testing if your SigmaMD fax is functional
If all the data of your contact is correct, the next step is to verify if your SigmaMD fax number is working correctly.
To do this, we must execute a simple test by sending a test fax, with no important information, to a trusted fax number.
If you have no contact to perform such a test, we kindly ask you to fax us at (424) 318-3877 alongside an email to help@sigmamd.com informing us that you are performing this test, so we can verify if it worked.
If this test works as intended, then it means your SigmaMD fax number is working correctly.
If this test fails, please contact us at help@sigmamd.com so we can take measures to solve your problem.
3. Contact your provider
If you have verified that your fax is working as intended, there's a very high chance that the problem is on the side of your provider.
Ask them to kindly make sure there are no impediments with their fax number, and to take other measures they deem necessary to keep their fax number available for receiving faxes.
4. Attempt to resend the fax a few times
The receiving fax number often can drop the receiving call mid-fax, resulting in a failed fax. This can happen due to many reasons, such as traffic overload.
We ask you to attempt to resend your fax a few times, as often a second or third attempt will go through.
