Editing an Active Membership Plan

Once a membership plan is active and assigned to patients, only certain fields can be edited. This ensures billing accuracy and prevents disruptions to ongoing memberships.

To edit a plan, go to Billing > Memberships and select Manage plan for the one you’d like to update. Below, you’ll find which fields are editable and which are locked for Retail and Employer plans.

Editable Fields

Plan Name

Update the plan name and description (retail) at any time. The change is reflected immediately across all linked memberships.

Coverage Policies

Add or remove coverage policies linked to the plan.

Create new policies and assign them to existing plans.

Charging Cycles (Retail Plans)

Add new charging cycles (for example, “Every 2 months”)

Plan Seats

You can add and configure as many new seats as needed in the plan. Just click on add seat, and specify the age range desired.

You can also update prices for new and existing seats.

Enrollment Fees

Add, edit, or remove enrollment fees based on patient count.

Group Discounts

Add new discount rules or remove existing ones.

Update thresholds or amounts (for example, “$5 discount for 2 or more patients”).

Price Cap

Turn the price cap on or off.

Set or update the maximum monthly price limit.

Locked Fields

The following fields define the plan’s structure and can’t be changed once the plan is active. To modify these, create a new plan instead.

Employer Association (Employer Plans)

The Employer field becomes locked once the plan is linked to an employer.

Existing Charging Cycles (Retail Plans)

You can’t remove or edit a charging cycle that’s already active for the plan.

Existing Plan Seats

You can’t edit or delete seats that already have active patients enrolled.

Required Seat Rules

You can’t add or remove required seat rules once the plan is active.

How Changes Are Applied

Updates to editable fields apply immediately for new enrollments.

For patients already enrolled in the plan, the updated rules take effect on the next billing cycle following the change.
