Release Notes - January 15, 2026

This week’s SigmaMD update focuses on simplifying patient creation, improving how results are reviewed, and refining Scribe’s transcription accuracy.

Patient Creation Without Contact Information

You can now create patient records without requiring an email address or phone number. This is useful for workflows in which patients are registered in person or before their contact details are available.

When a patient is created without contact information:

• No notifications are sent
• The patient won’t have access to the SigmaMD Patient App

Contact details can be added later to enable notifications and app access. Please note that the existing rule requiring a caregiver for patients under 16 years old remains unchanged.

Enhanced Lab and Imaging Results Filters

The Lab and Imaging Results list on the Home screen now includes additional filters:

• Time
• Ordering provider
• Location

In a larger setting, these filters make it easier to focus on the results most relevant to you.

We also added a new Recently Reviewed tab, helping you quickly revisit results you’ve already looked at.

Scribe Speaker Recognition Improvements

Scribe has been improved to more clearly indicate who is speaking during a visit. This helps ensure that generated notes more accurately reflect what was said by the clinician rather than the patient, improving note clarity and reliability.
