Membership Draft Invoices Overview

The draft membership invoice is created the moment the patient is enrolled in a membership, always targeting the patient's next billing cycle.

However, SigmaMD treats the Draft Invoice a bit differently than a normal invoice. And this is seen in two details:

The Draft Invoice is always updated when it is issued.

Sometimes, you can find yourself making changes to the patient's membership or payment methods. When such changes are made, the Draft Invoice will remain unchanged. This is because the Draft Invoice only checks for such changes when it is issued.

So, if you made any change to a patient's membership and didn't see it reflected on the Draft Invoice, do not panic. These changes will be reflected at the moment the invoice is issued.

The Draft Invoice cannot have its issue date changed.

The Draft Invoice cannot have its issue date changed. This happens because this draft is linked directly to the patient's membership, so it will always reflect the billing date set in the patient's membership.
