How to Refill a Medication

To quickly process a prescription refill in SigmaMD, you must use the eRx platform (DoseSpot). Currently, there are two ways to order refills in SigmaMD:

1. Proactively ordering a refill for the patient

To order a medication refill for your patient, open Dosespot, locate the patient's medication history, and select the 'Inactive Medications' tab.

Now, you must find the medication you want to order a refill for.

Now you must only follow the steps required for dispensing the medication, and the refill will be ordered for your patient.

2. Reviewing a refill request sent by a pharmacy

To do this, you must open your home screen area and find the Rx refill requests button.

This will open Dosespot, where you will be able to find the refill requests you received

Follow the on-screen prompts to review the request. Once reviewed, you can accept or deny it.
