How Do I Print a Clinic-Dispensed Prescription?

When you dispense medications from your clinic's inventory, SigmaMD generates the bottle label, drug monograph, and prescription for each medication. You print them from the Medication Order screen, one medication at a time or the whole order at once.

Opening the Medication Order

The Medication Order screen opens right after you click Order on the Dispense Medication screen. To get back to it later, go to the patient's chart, open the Medications tab, and click the prescription icon next to a Clinic dispensed medication. The Completed Request panel opens with the same print icons, and View details takes you to the full order.

Printing for One Medication

Each medication in the order has its own print icons, next to its name:

Bottle label
Drug monograph
Prescription

Click an icon to open a preview of that document for that medication only.

Printing for the Whole Order

To print the same document for every medication in the order, click Print all and choose Bottle labels, Drug monographs, or Prescriptions. SigmaMD combines them into a single PDF, so you print once for the whole order.

Printing from the Preview

Every printout opens in a preview first. Click Open in a new tab to print it, or Download file to save a copy.

Important Considerations

Injectables have no bottle label
Drug monographs are available only for medications that have one
Canceled medications have no print icons and are left out of Print all
