Using the "Help Me Write" and "Regenerate Note" Features

SigmaMD offers two powerful features to assist with the AI Scribe: Help Me Write and Regenerate Note. This article explains how to use them and when each feature is most helpful.

Help Me Write

Where it appears:

• In the Note Template Editor (Practice Settings > Templates).

• In the Note Editor (within a patient's chart), for Scribe generated notes.

What it's for: The Help Me Write button allows clinicians and staff to prompt the AI agent to:

• Create an entirely new template.
• Modify or expand an existing template.
• Rewrite or summarize note content based on your instructions.

Examples:

• "Write a SOAP note template for a follow-up visit for hypertension."
• "Add more detail to the plan for managing diabetes."

This is a flexible, open-ended tool best used for enhancing or drafting templates and individual note sections.

Regenerate Note

Where it appears:

• Only in the Note Editor on a patient's chart

What it's for: The Regenerate Note button is specifically designed for refreshing the entire clinical note. It can be used when:

• The note did not fully generate during the initial AI Scribe output.
• You’ve made changes to the underlying scribe template in Practice Settings and want those updates to reflect in the note.

What it does: Regenerates the entire note using the most current version of the template and the voice transcript from the visit.

This ensures that any improvements to your templates or missing content are automatically reapplied.
