This guide will help you invite a patient in the SigmaMD Clinician application.
Navigate to the Patients Screen: Find and click on the "Patients" link on the SigmaMD Clinician menu.
Invite a Patient: Click the "Invite patient" button on the Patients screen.
Enter Patient Details: A form will appear for you to enter the patient's First Name, Last Name, Mobile Number, and Email.
Send Invitation: After filling out the form, click the "Invite" button. The patient will then receive an email with instructions to download the SigmaMD Patient mobile app. Sometimes due to email filters this email might end up in their spam or junk folder.
- View invitation status: The invited patient will be automatically added to the patients' table with the status "Invite sent". After the patient signs up using the SigmaMD patient app (steps below), their status will be updated to "Subscriber".
The patient should follow these steps:
Download and Install the SigmaMD App: The patient must download the SigmaMD Patient mobile app using the instructions in the email. The SigmaMD Patient mobile app is available for free download from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
Create a New Account: After installing the app, the patient should create a new account using the same mobile number that was initially entered by the clinician in SigmaMD Clinician. This step ensures they correctly associate with the practice.
- Enter Personal Details: Immediately upon creating their new account, the patient should enter their full name, date of birth, and preferred address. This information is required to start a patient visit and prescribe medications.
After account creation, the patient will automatically be associated with your practice and their status will be changed to 'Subscriber' on the Patients Screen. If their status does not change after signup, they might have used a different phone number to register their account than the one used in the invitation process. Once associated, either the patient or the clinician can initiate a new visit.
