The essence of efficient pricing management at SigmaMD lies in the ease of uploading a pricing table. The process is simple yet effective:
Prepare Your Spreadsheet
If you already have a pricing spreadsheet, ensure it encompasses a first column for the provider test code (not the CPT code) and a second for the price. It can have or not have a header and would look like this:
Code | Price |
12345 | 10.00 |
54321 | 5.12 |
... | ... |
Export as CSV
With the spreadsheet ready, the next step is exporting it as a CSV file. This file format is crucial for successful upload and processing. Here are the steps to do it in Microsoft Excel, Google Spreadsheets, and Apple Numbers.
Upload to SigmaMD
With SigmaMD, navigate to Settings, then select Diagnostic Providers on the left menu. Choose the desired diagnostic provider and click on "Upload pricing table." Upload your CSV file on the screen that will prompt. Although the upload may take some time, feel free to close the screen and attend to other tasks.
Notification
Upon completion of the upload, an email confirmation is dispatched to your inbox. In any instance where an error occurs during the upload, an attached CSV file containing the tests that failed importing will be sent. The common errors usually revolve around missing prices or codes.
Users can correct the errors on the sent file and upload it. It’s important to note that each new upload either adds new tests to the table or overwrites the prices for existing tests, and this action is irreversible.
Through this structured yet flexible process, SigmaMD ensures a smooth transition towards efficient pricing management, aligning with the operational rhythm of each clinical practice.
