1. Initiate the Process: Begin by clicking on the "Referral" button located on the top of the overview section, in the center of the Patient Chart. This action opens a modal for file creation.

2. Customize Your Referral: In the first step, personalize the content of the referral. Here, you can choose what information to include, such as:

   • Insurance information
   • Patient conditions
   • Medications
   • Vital measurements
   • Vaccinations
   • Procedures

   While the main options are preselected based on availability to expedite the process, they can be fully customized per your necessity.

3. Add Cover and Details: A cover page is added by default to the referral PDF, but it can be removed if preferred. This page can feature:

   • A title
   • Recipient's name
   • Referral reason
   • A personalized note
   • ICD-10 codes
   • Your signature

4. Select Additional Information: In the second step, you have the option to include:

   • Encounter notes
   • Insurance card picture
   • Driver's license picture
   • Lab results

   These are added if available and relevant to the referral.

5. Generate and Download: After customizing your referral, click "Generate file". The PDF will be created and available for download, ready to be sent to the receiving clinician.
