As a clinician, you have two ways to check which pharmacy received a prescription:
- By viewing the patient's prescription through the chart.
- By using DoseSpot.
It is up to you to decide which method to use based on your preference and workflow.
Viewing the Patient's Prescription Through the Chart
- Access the Patient Chart
Navigate to the patient's chart and enter the Medications tab.
- Select "View Prescriptions"
Click on the "View prescriptions" button.
- Prescription List Appears
A screen displaying all prescriptions for the patient will appear. Hover over the prescription and locate the prescription you need details for, then hover over it. A button will appear.
- View Detailed Information
Click the button to view the detailed prescription information, including the pharmacy that received the prescription.
Using DoseSpot
- Access the Patient's Chart
Open the patient's chart and locate the ePrescribe button.
- Open DoseSpot
Clicking on the button will open DoseSpot with the patient’s data preloaded. Scroll down to find the Medications Panel.
- Click "View Pharmacy"
Locate and click on the "View Pharmacy" button.
- Pharmacy Details Appear
A screen will show the details of the pharmacy that received the prescription.
- Check for Active and Inactive Medications
You can check the pharmacy details for both active and inactive medications. Use the options in the Medications Panel to switch between them.
By following these steps, you can efficiently determine which pharmacy a prescription was sent to, using the method that best fits your workflow.
