If a patient encounters a “mismatch error” while registering in the SigmaMD Patient App, it is typically due to one of the following reasons:
- The email entered during registration does not match the email listed in SigmaMD.
- The code entered is invalid or expired.
- A new code was generated, but the patient is using an older, invalid code (race condition).
Step 1: Verify the Patient’s Email in SigmaMD
Clinicians should first confirm that the email in the patient’s profile matches what the patient is entering during registration.
- Go to the Patients List in SigmaMD.
- Search for the patient.
- Check the email listed in their profile.
- Confirm with the patient that they are using this exact email during app registration.
If there’s a discrepancy, update the patient’s email in SigmaMD to match their preferred address, then have them retry the registration.
Step 2: Use the Most Recent Registration Code
If the patient still experiences a mismatch error, check if a new registration code was recently sent.
⚠️ Important:
Each time a new code is sent from SigmaMD, any previously sent codes become invalid. If multiple codes are sent, only the most recent code will work.
Patients should:
- Ensure they are using the most recent code received.
- Double-check the email and code entries for any typos before submitting.
If the error persists after confirming both email and code, please contact our support team for further assistance.
