Release Notes – June 04, 2025
We’re excited to share this week’s SigmaMD update! From faster navigation to better membership controls, this release brings meaningful upgrades to help you run your practice more efficiently.
Command Center
Quickly search and take action without leaving your current screen. The new Command Center lets you jump to a patient’s chart or go directly into actions like ordering labs or starting a televisit.
Press Cmd+K (Mac)
or Ctrl+K (Windows)
, or click the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your screen. Learn more.
Enrollment Start Date Limits
You can now define limits for when a patient's membership can start:
- Earliest - Defines the soonest start date, e.g. only allow enrollment after your clinic’s official launch.
- Latest - Maximum days in advance from the earliest day, e.g. prevent enrollments more than 30 days ahead of the day picked as earliest.
Ideal for startup or growing practices managing patient onboarding.
Membership Price Cap
Set a monthly ceiling for total charges on a membership plan. Once the combined seat amount reaches the cap, no additional charges are applied. Discounts can still be applied normally.
Appointment Type Controls
You can now customize appointment type availability based on:
- Membership status – Only show certain types to patients with active plans.
- Visit type – Restrict specific appointment types to first visits, or only after the first visit. Appointment status settings now include a way to define which statuses count as "attended," so the system knows when a first visit is complete.
You can also control which clinicians are available for booking:
- All clinicians
- The patient’s assigned clinician
- A custom list of clinicians
Tasks from Faxes
When reviewing a fax, use the new 'Add task' button at the top right of the Inbox.
This opens a task form side-by-side with the fax PDFs, making it easy to reference documents while creating the task.
Other Improvements
- Charge Items: Visual and usability improvements to item tables.
- AI Scribe: Continued refinements to structure and performance.
