How to Check if a Patient Has a SigmaMD App Account
Having a SigmaMD app account allows patients to access a wide range of features, including telehealth visits, secure messaging with the clinic, self-scheduling, and viewing lab results, medications, and more—all from their phone.
If you're helping a patient or caregiver get set up, it’s important to first check whether the patient already has an active app account.
Where to check
From the Patients page, you can view a list of all your patients. Look at the Mobile Number column in the table.
- If you see the SigmaMD phone icon next to the phone number, the patient has registered in the app and has access.
- If the icon is missing, the patient has not yet created their app account.
Use filters to find app users
To quickly locate app users or those who haven’t registered yet, use the App users filter at the top of the table:
- App-registered patients – shows only patients with a SigmaMD app account
- Non-app patients – shows only patients who haven’t completed their app setup
This is especially helpful if you're doing outreach or troubleshooting access.
If a patient does not yet have access, you can send or resend the app invite code from their profile.
