Creating and Enrolling Patients in Zero-Dollar Memberships Using Enrollment Links

In some situations, clinics may want to onboard patients or their families into SigmaMD without immediately charging a membership fee. This often includes collecting demographic information, creating a patient chart, capturing payment details, obtaining required consents, and enabling patient portal access.

While completing these steps manually can be time-consuming, a zero-dollar enrollment link provides a simple alternative. By sharing a zero-dollar enrollment link, patients can complete the entire onboarding process themselves. Once enrolled, patients can self-schedule through the mobile app, and clinics can bill for services as needed using charge items for cash fee-for-service care.

Step 1: Create a Zero-Dollar Membership Plan

  • Go to Billing > Membership Plans.
  • Either create a new membership plan or edit an existing one.
  • Create a monthly charging cycle and disable Auto-renew subscription

  • Add one or more $0.00 seats to the plan.

Step 2: Create an Enrollment Link

  • Follow the steps in this article to create an enrollment link, then share it on your website or email it directly to patients.
