Creating and Enrolling Patients in Zero-Dollar Memberships Using Enrollment Links
In certain scenarios — such as joining a waiting list or onboarding fee-for-service patients — clinics may need to enroll patients or families in SigmaMD without immediately charging a membership fee. This can include collecting demographics, creating the patient chart, capturing payment details, and completing required practice agreements.
By sharing a zero-dollar enrollment link, patients can complete the entire onboarding process themselves. Once enrolled, patients can be allowed to self-schedule through the mobile app, and clinics can bill for services as needed using charge items for cash fee-for-service care.
Step 1: Create a Zero-Dollar Membership Plan
- Go to Billing > Membership Plans.
- Either create a new membership plan or edit an existing one.
- Create a monthly charging cycle and disable Auto-renew subscription

- Add one or more $0.00 seats to the plan.

Step 2: Create an Enrollment Link
- Follow the steps in this article to create an enrollment link, then share it on your website or email it directly to patients.
