Release Notes - June 04, 2026

This update focuses on data access, membership flexibility, and clinical tools. From a new Data Export API to new form templates and mobile improvements across both the clinician and patient apps, these changes are designed to give you more control over your practice and a smoother day-to-day experience.

Data Export APIs

SigmaMD now offers a public API for exporting practice data. This allows clinics to build custom reports, feed data into external tools, or automate internal workflows using their own SigmaMD data.

Where to find it: Settings → API Access

How it works: Generate API credentials from the API Access card to authenticate your requests. New read endpoints for patient data are also available as part of this release.

Membership Plan Management

Two improvements to how you manage live membership plans — no longer requiring you to recreate a plan when business needs change:

Manage seat rules on live plans: Seats can be added, edited, or removed at any time, giving you ongoing flexibility to adjust plan structure.

Plans with no required seat rules: Membership plans can now be created without any required seat rules.

Forms on the Clinician Mobile App

The clinician app now includes a complete forms review experience. You can view shared forms, filter, and search.

New Clinical Form Templates

Three new form templates are now available in the form library:

  • Teacher NICHQ — pediatric ADHD evaluation form designed for teacher completion
  • STOP-BANG — sleep apnea risk screening questionnaire
  • EPDS — Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale

Default Imaging Tests for Fax

All imaging providers connected via fax now come preloaded with a curated list of common imaging tests from SigmaMD, so your fax connections are configured and ready to use from day one.

Caregiver Patient Selection

Caregivers using the patient app can now select and switch between the patient profiles they manage. This is especially useful for families managing care for multiple members under the same account, preventing chats from being created from the wrong chart.

Other Improvements

  • Scribe — extended recording: Scribe sessions can now run up to 2.5 hours in production, accommodating longer clinical encounters without cutoff.
  • Referral PDF: Height and weight are no longer included in the demographics section of all referral PDFs.
  • Fax inbox flow: After archiving or discarding a fax, you're automatically taken to the next item in the inbox — keeping your review flow uninterrupted.
  • Employer EDI table: A reset-filter option has been added to the header, making it faster to clear active filters. Also, families with rows pending review now auto-expand, surfacing action items immediately.
  • Biometric re-auth: The re-authentication time has been reduced to 5 minutes in both the clinician and patient apps. In the patient app, this is suspended during an active telehealth call.
