We’re excited to introduce new features that enhance lab test management, membership agreements, and patient communication.
New Feature: Lab Panels
Managing lab orders just got easier with Lab Panels! Now, instead of selecting individual lab tests separately, you can create predefined panels that bundle multiple tests and diagnoses together. This feature improves efficiency by allowing you to order commonly grouped tests in one click, reducing repetitive tasks and ensuring consistency in test ordering.

Membership Terms Now Available in Patient Charts
You can now manually add Membership Terms to a patient’s membership, ensuring that all agreements are properly documented.
To add terms:
- Open the Membership's details in the patient’s chart.
- Click the ‘+’ button next to Terms.
- In the modal that opens, upload any relevant files, enter the signing date, and record who signed them.
Once added, patients can also view their membership terms anytime in the SigmaMD Patient App under Profile → Care Team → Membership and selecting the membership they want to review.
Terms accepted during web enrollment will also be displayed in the same section of the mobile app and in the patient's chart.
Chat Now Supports File Exchange
SigmaMD’s chat feature has been enhanced to support file sharing between patients and clinicians. This makes it easier to exchange documents, test results, and other important files securely.
- Patients and clinicians can now send and receive files within chat conversations.
- All shared files are automatically stored in the patient’s chart.
- Patients can access shared files in the Care section of their mobile app under Files.
To send files, simply click the clip icon below the chat message field.
This update ensures smoother communication and record-keeping for both patients and healthcare providers.
General Updates
This release includes over 40 updates to enhance usability, resolve key issues, and refine workflows:
- Billing: Enhancements on CSV files exported from reports and invoice PDFs.
- Calendar: Improvement on how changes on recurring events are handled.
- Draft notes: The counter on the home screen for draft notes now displays both your draft notes and those of other providers for your assigned patients.
- Tasks: Better handling which notifications should be sent regarding your tasks.
